Summary
FOR years I allowed my employer to divert part of my salary to a company pension scheme. After three recessions the fund went bust, broke the company and everyone lost their jobs.
I then tried a personal pension whilst working as a self- employed contract engineer but a mix of hidden fees to so-called fund-managers and the banking crisis has meant I was better off leaving the money under the bed.
