WITH reference to the closure of Celanese: The loss of manufacturing jobs began in earnest under Thatcher and has continued under New Labour. We need politics and an economy based on the needs of working people - including proper jobs, training and job security.
I spoke for the People's Charter at the Silk Mill rally - agreeing that the Tories would be a disaster for working people. We need a government that will tackle the budget deficit by making the super rich pay their taxes (Pounds 130 billion currently unpaid), nationalising the finance industry and scrapping the next generation of Trident weapons.See the full content of this document
