Summary
I WOULD like you to warn other city residents, please see my e- mail to the council below: On Saturday we had friends over from Lichfield and decided that it would be nice to take them to Elvaston Castle to walk the dogs. We arrived at 4.45pm with our money ready to pay the attendant. Unfortunately no attendant was there. We were concerned about parking inside the car park as the sign said that the gates were closed at 5pm, which is a little early given that it was light until about 6.30pm.
As it is a country lane and is not very busy on a Saturday, particularly at that time, we parked in the slip road and were not causing any blockage or nuisance to anyone. We were not on the grass verge.See the full content of this document
