KEN Miller''s sentiments about forgiveness (Forgive bomber for his atrocity, Derby Telegraph, September 1) arise from a generous spirit but he is rather confused.

In the matter of the Lockerbie bomber "we" are in no position to forgive him. The only people who can do that are the relatives of his victims.
