LIKE everyone, I have been shocked by the tragic events that unfolded in Holbrook last week. Thankfully, such events are very rare but I would like to offer my sympathies again to the family and friends of all those involved, at what will be a very difficult time for them.
I understand everyone wants to establish what happened in the lead-up to this incident. Each agency involved (health, police and Independent Police Complaints Commission) is now investigating all the available evidence, to ensure we have a complete picture. This must then be submitted to Her Majesty's Coroner, who will decide what information can and should be made public, at the inquest he will convene. I know it may be frustrating but we are not allowed to share information pertaining to the case now.See the full content of this document
