Summary
THE Trent 900, which powers the Airbus A380, is considered to be one of three engines that hold the key to Rolls-Royce's long-term prospects, particularly in Derby. The others are the Trent 1000, which is powering Boeing's Dreamliner aircraft through its test programme, and the Trent XWB (extra wide body), which is being developed for Airbus's A350 XWB aircraft.
