Summary


DARK blue, flecked by ivory, a kind of drinkable hue. Widening and engorging, immortally unfathomable. An innate flicker of a dream or two, offset by the faint sound of trouble.

Burnished and pricked by unseen hands, folded and teased by laughing faces. The crinkle in the summer sun at the height of day, blinking and whispering behind those blue shields.

The sound of my heart, which barely protests, as I drown.

Your eyes, cushioned by the lilac lids, whilst your head lies without thought on the pillow. I know their colour, I've known for such a time, but I cannot help reciting the words as I gaze downwards.
