SUCCESSIVE defeats is not the way to sign off for two weeks. Derby were second-best against Cardiff City last Wednesday and lost 3-0. They then let a two-goal lead slip at Peterborough on Saturday and lost 3-2, the knockout blow being delivered in stoppage time. It is a painful double for fans, players and management but it must not be allowed to sour everything that has unfolded in the opening third of the season.
