Stagecoach Threatens Legal Action Over Cost of Derbyshire's 'Free Bus Travel'

Summary


A Bus company is prepared to take court action to force Derbyshire's councils to pay "significantly more" for a concessionary fare scheme.

Stagecoach says it has not received enough money for running the Gold Card scheme in the 2007-8 financial year and has now applied for a judicial review in London's High Court to get more cash. The Gold Card gives over-60s free travel across the county.
