Special Help for Young Mothers

Summary


YOUNG mothers in Derby are benefiting from special nursing care, according to an independent report.

The city is one of 40 places in the country to host the Government's Family Nurse Partnership programme. The Pounds 36m scheme provides support for vulnerable firsttime young mothers and their families by giving them the help of specially trained nurses, who work with them from pregnancy until the child is two years old.
