MPs should give up their 12-week summer holidays and return to Westminster at the start of September, Speaker of the Commons has John Bercow said.
Mr Bercow said he did not believe the lengthy summer recess - which this year stretches from July 21 to October 12 - was necessary and said it would be "massively in the interests" of Parliament, voters and the country for MPs to return to their desks at the same time as most of their constituents did.See the full content of this document
