Summary
DERBYSHIRE County Council has so far found ways to continue running two of the school bus routes it axed subsides for earlier this year. The authority decided to scrap subsidies for the services to 47 schools in a bid to save more than Pounds 930,000. The affected services will continue until April next year. The council said it would look to see if commercial bus companies could replace some of the school services or continue to run them without the subsidies.
So far, it has found ways to continue with two of the 73 affected services. Service 285 at Ecclesbourne School, Duffield, will be run by Harpur's Coaches as a commercial service from April.See the full content of this document
