THE Office of Fair Trading may have decided to take no action on the Campaign for Real Ale's complaint about the beer tie which restricts so many licensees but, Burton-based Punch Taverns has quietly begun a three-month trial with the Society for Independent Brewers which allows selected pubs to order beers outside the usual tied list.
