A TWO-STOREY extension to a cottage in a Dales village could get the go-ahead, despite nearly 20 letters of objection from neighbours. Professor Fiona Patterson wishes to erect the extension to Blackwell Cottage, in Kirk Ireton. As part of her application to the district council she also plans to remove an integral garage and construct a single-storey detached garage to replace it.
The parish council welcome the development of the house but feel the proposed new garage "is too dominant and would have a detrimental impact on the hamlet." And 19 letters of objection have also been sent to the council.See the full content of this document
