The Yorkshire and Derbyshire Cricket League are seeking new clubs - and umpires - as they approach their 40th anniversary in 2009.

Several Derbyshire Peak District clubs are already involved and league president David Griffiths said: "We offer competitive cricket on the field and sporting comradeship off it.
