LOCAL: Trains started rolling at Derby Midland Station after a 32- hour shutdown - the longest in the station's history - to swap from semaphore to power signaling. The work was carried out without a hitch. SPORT: Seventeen-year-old Roger Patrick was the surprise choice in the Derby County party for their pre-season tour of Germany and Holland. Patrick was going "largely for the experience", assistant manager Peter Taylor said.
