Summary
As a former member of staff at Derby Museum and Art Gallery (retiring in 2006), I was especially arrested by Derek Latham's letter (Opinion, September 29) in which he put forward an idea for a new atrium on the present Museum Square, facing on to the Wardwick.
Well, as it happens, Mr Latham isn't the first to think of this idea! An extension covering Museum Square was proposed by a staff member several years ago and was enthusiastically supported by many of the other curators.See the full content of this document
