Summary
I HEARTILY agree with Edward Spalton's desire to rewrite our national anthem ("Anthem would benefit from more forceful lyrics", Derby Telegraph, December 30), so I've written my own version: God save our gracious land It's got no cash in hand God save our land. Half of us are obese Yobs won't leave us in peace 'Coz we've got no police God save our land.
Protests, industrial strife Next door's kid's got a knife Run for your life. If that kid hopes to rob Me of my few paltry bob Tough, 'coz I haven't got a job, God save our land. Armed forces have been shipped Overseas, ill equipped to combat terrorists, God save our land. Answering our country's call May they all stand, not fall God spare them, one and all God save our land. Nothing is getting made Kids do not want a trade God save our land.See the full content of this document
