AS the cold spell continues, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service has issued safety tips for drivers.
Sean Wells, group manager, is urging motorists to check their vehicle and take an emergency kit on journeys. The emergency kits should contain an ice scraper, de-icer, torch, warm clothes and a blanket, a pair of boots, a firstaid kit, battery jump leads, a shovel if it's likely to snow and food and a warm drink in a flask for particularly cold weather.See the full content of this document
