Several libraries run by Derbyshire County Council will open on a few Sundays to encourage more people to read.

The council's cabinet member for cultural services, Bob Janes, has given the go-ahead to allow libraries to open on Sundays, on a limited basis, to coincide with town festivals and for a special reading event.
