I AM writing again in response to recent comments regarding cycling on pavements from Michael Grattidge (July 8, Together we should all tackle selfish cyclists ), Frank Dunne (July 19, Practically impossible to tackle the selfish cyclists), and also comments by Councillor Chris Poulter (July 31, Cyclists in pedestrian zones face crackdown) and the editorial of the Derby Telegraph on the same date. I am absolutely sickened by the emphasis being on the city centre, as I feel much safer there than coming from my own front gate. I have a cycle path on the road outside my house and have often requested cyclists to use it, as Mr Grattidge suggests. I have learned more obscene language then I have ever known.
