AN INDEPENDENT city councillor is among protestors against plans for what he is calling a "gardengrabbing" scheme at Alvaston.

Alan Graves, who represents the ward, said he believed plans from Terry Dimmock for land at the back of houses in Baker Street would "upset the ambience" and cause traffic problems.
