Summary


Like your writer John Harley from Derby, I am keen on the English tongue. However, unlike Mr Harley, I am not so keen on the Latin and Greek parts of it.

English is a west Germanic tongue that sprang from the Anglo- Frisian dialects brought to Britain (before England was here) by the German settlers from about 350 AD.
