WITH reference to the recent article asking for the location of Warren Street, Derby. I lived there at No 43 from 1940-50, during and after the Second World War.

Our house was a semi but we had no bathroom. We bathed in a tin bath in front of the fire once a week. The water was heated in the copper until we became proud owners of a geyser.
