Summary
A Recent incident made me think back to the heavy snow in 1947. My husband could not get up Green Lane, Ockbrook, in his lorry because of ice. Within minutes people from the houses came out with buckets of ashes to put under the wheels enabling him to get to the top.
Today, my friend - a pensioner - fell on the pavement. It was clear of ice and snow but no-one stopped to help. I shall never forget that scene in Ockbrook. Where were the good Samaritans that day?See the full content of this document
