TWO-THIRDS of Derby's Sturgess Fields site looks set to be designated a "town green" following recommendations by a planning inspector.
Campaigners are now hopeful the designation will protect the land from development, including from the University of Derby, which originally wanted to create a single-track "hopper bus" route across the fields to link its campuses in Kedleston Road and Markeaton Street.See the full content of this document
