I READ with interest the recent articles on the success of the Royal Mail in clearing the backlog created by recent bad weather.

I am still waiting for a package dispatched firstclass on December 6 and foolishly assumed that getting something ordered and posted in the first week of December would have seen it delivered in time for Christmas. I can't even report it as missing until 15 working days have elapsed. It makes a mockery of any delivery standard the Royal Mail uses. It should change its title to Royal Snail.
