AMATEUR BOXING: Zavier Hobby and Rod Smith made it safely through to this weekend's CYP Championships Midlands regional finals in the last of the preliminary bouts.

Having scored a stoppage win in his opening contest at Hinckley, Chadd 15-yearold Hobby had to face an opponent with the experience of almost twice as many bouts to reach the class A 57kg final.
