HAVING read your article on the attitude of some Littleover residents (Inquiry is promised over planning for hospital's helipad, October 8), I have to say I am disgusted.

I live within a few hundred metres of the hospital and although we hear the helicopter now and again, it is not really a problem. The lady who complained that she was disturbed seven times in 24 hours might like to consider the fact that maybe seven lives were saved that day. I'm sorry if that upset her afternoon, but we have to get things in perspective. We are very fortunate to have such an amazing facility in Derby, with resources such as the air ambulance. Many people around the world would be glad to have it, and all some people here can do is moan.
