A BATTLE of Britain hero from Derby, who lost his life in a tragic plane crash, will be remembered in an anniversary event 70 years on. Pilot Officer Francis Walker-Smith was just 24 when the plane he was flying in crashed in Saffron Walden in 1941.
This weekend, the 70th anniversary of Mr Walker-Smith's death, will be marked with a ceremony in Essex, just miles from where he lost his life.See the full content of this document
