Police say the crackdown has had a "major impact" on the city's drugs' market and has helped cut other crimes, including robbery and burglary, as addicts often steal to fund their habits. All 16 dealers were snared in a sting - one of the biggest in recent years - during which officers posed as drug users and arranged to meet people at various locations, including pubs and betting shops in Normanton.
