I WAS more than a little surprised to read Lib Dem Councillor Joe Naitta's remarks expressing his regret that the Big Wheel has not been rebooked this year ("No big wheel, but vibrant city centre is promised," Telegraph, August 21).
Councillor Naitta is quoted as saying it is a "huge shame that it isn't here this year" and he is worried that we will miss out in future years. As the cabinet member for leisure and culture last year, it is quite clearly his fault that he failed to ensure that the Big Wheel was rebooked for future years.See the full content of this document
