Conservationists Lose Plans Power

Summary


Changes to the way planning applications are decided have been made by Derby City Council.

The authority's planning control committee has agreed to alter its processes so that decisions can be reached more quickly. It means the Conservation Area Advisory Committee, which comments on applications in conservation areas and plans affecting listed buildings, can no longer automatically demand an application be considered by the planning committee.
