Summary
WELL-dressing is a centuries old tradition that flourishes throughout Derbyshire and attracts visitors to villages throughout the county during the summer season. But you don't have to live in a rural community to create your own well board and, this week, Quad is inviting everyone to help with floral displays that will go on display in Derby. Well-dressing boards are made from natural products like flower petals and set into clay filled frames. The traditional custom celebrates the gift of water. The creation of Derby's well-dressings will take place at Quad over three days, from June 15-17, and will be open daily from 10am until 4pm.
Visitors can simply watch the process of the well-dressing being made, have a go themselves or help design the displays.See the full content of this document
