THANK you for publishing the article (Bright future ahead for chapel window, December 24) regarding the chapel window taken from London Road Community Hospital when the majority of services were transferred to Royal Derby Hospital earlier this year.

As a group of retired health service workers this is known to us as the Nurses' Window. I believe many financial donations came initially from nurses at the then-Derbyshire Royal Infirmary. Every year our group chooses a charity and in 2010 we shall be raising funds towards the cost of resiting something that is so precious.
