Chance to Debate Major Scheme for Future of Suburb

Summary

A MEETING about plans for a range of housing and community developments in Chellaston will be held tonight. Chellaston Residents' Association will hold its annual meeting to discuss issues facing people in the suburb. Topics under discussion will include the area's new library and children's centre and potential housing developments. Ward councillor Matthew Holmes said: "These are Government-imposed housing targets that could have a massive impact on Chellaston ward.

"I'm very concerned, as I just do not think we have the infrastructure to cope. I'd urge residents to come along so they can see the plans, get information and ask council officers questions."
