MARK Robins looks to have moved a step closer to being appointed Barnsley manager after three members of his coaching staff at Rotherham United were given permission to speak to the Tykes.
Robins (pictured right) was placed on gardening leave by the Millers last week while he held talks with the Coca-Cola Championship side with a view to succeeding Simon Davey at Oakwell. Rotherham have now allowed Robins' assistant John Breckin, first- team coach Steve Taylor and goalkeeping coach Nick Daws to hold talks with their Yorkshire rivals.
