Remnants of historic buildings that once stood on the site of Derby's Silk Mill have been unearthed.
Archaeologists dug nine trenches in the Cathedral Green and found evidence of a doubling shop that fell down around 1890. Its job was to make the silk thread, produced in the mill, broader so it was ready for weaving.See the full content of this document
