Summary
THE BARBER OF BAGHDAD CORNELIUS'S comic opera in two acts, adapted from stories in The Arabian Nights, sung in a new English translation. This is a Buxton Festival production with the Northern Chamber Orchestra and Festival Chorus. Jonathan Lemalu makes his first Buxton stage appearance in a cast directed by rising star Alessandro Talevi. You can see The Barber of Baghdad at Buxton Opera House on July 8, 11, 15, 19 and 24, from 7.15pm. Tickets cost Pounds 10-Pounds 54.
DULSORI, which translates as "wild beat", catches the spirit of ancient Korea. The agile troupe whirl, twist, dance and defy gravity as they combine the age-old traditions and modern spectacle of their national art at the Devonshire Dome on July 21 from 5pm.
