NOV 4: Enterprising women get into gear at a networking event at Inchcape Toyota, Pride Park, Derby, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Organised by the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber and hosted by Inchcape Toyota, it is an opportunity to network with other women in business. There will be safety tips for lone drivers, lessons on how to change a tyre and check your oil from Derbyshire Police, the RAC and the Toyota team. NOV 5: The Derby and Derbyshire Rail Forum's annual conference at Derby Conference Centre, London Road, from 8.45am to 4pm. Speaking at this year's event will be Colin Walton, of Bombardier, MP Margaret Beckett and Bob Rixham, of Unite the Union. This year's event will concentrate on providing support and advice for the railway supply chain in challenging times. The event is free to attend for members of the Rail Forum.
