BUILDERS hoping to construct a house in a Derbyshire village have been ordered to scour the site for Roman remains first.

Archaeologists, asked to comment on plans to provide a new home behind the four-bedroom property in Chapel Street, Kilburn, pointed out that the site is on the Ryknield Street Roman route.
