So-called psychiatric "treatments" did not fare well in the past year. In February, we were informed "antidepressant drugs don't work". In the same month, the UK drug regulator, the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) issued a direction that warnings of the dangers of suicidal thoughts and behaviour were to be included in the packages of antidepressants.
For decades, antidepressants have been shrouded in controversy, not because they don't work, but because of the adverse drug reactions associated with them.
