Summary
THREE boys have been praised for the way they reacted to a fire whilst they were home alone.
Firefighters said the lads - aged about 11 to 14 - re -mained calm and prevented the blaze in an upstairs bedroom from spreading. They called 999 and got themselves out of the semidetached house, in Copperleaf Close, Derby, without being harmed by smoke. Steve Wall, watch manager at Kingsway station, the boys were not in the bedroom when the fire broke out yesterday at 1.45pm, and that they discovered it just as a smoke alarm went off.See the full content of this document
