Chellaston School head teacher Ray Ruszczynski is happy because this is a bumper year for his sixth form pupils with 62 per cent of all passes graded either A or B.

The number of A grades rose from 25% in 2007 to 33% this year, giving the school it's best-ever set of A-level results and a 100% pass rate.
