AS other arts events struggle with the recession, Buxton Festival continues to go from strength-to-strength forcing artistic director Andrew Greenwood to admit in his programme notes that he's "almost embarrassed" to be introducing an expanded programme in 2011.
These riches include three full-scale festival opera production, as well as touring companies and a community performance. There will also be 45 eclectic concerts and a lengthy literary series that includes an appearance by Derbyshire's record-breaking sailor, Dame Ellen MacArthur.See the full content of this document
