Giles Barnes returned to first-team action at the weekend, much to the delight of Derby County manager Billy Davies.

Davies said last Thursday that the 19-year-old attacking midfielder was still seven to 10 days away as he recovered from the foot injury he suffered in the Championship play-off final in May.
