Goals from the flourishing strike partnership of Justin Richards and Calvin Zola did the trick but the Brewers really should have been out of sight before the Pilgrims - roared on admirably by a sizeable gathering of the "Green Army" made famous in a Paul Whitehouse advertisement - grabbed a consolation goal in stoppage time. It is a sorry reflection of what has happened at Plymouth that this genuinely big club - clubs like Northampton Town are stretching it to make the claim - should make their first-ever trip to the Pirelli Stadium with the expectation that they will be cannon fodder.
