FIVE more days of strike action planned at a school after half- term have been criticised by its head teacher. Wendy Sharp, of John Port School in Etwall, says she is "appalled" some teachers will strike from March 1 to 3 and also on March 7 and 8. Members of the National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT) have already been on strike for two consecutive Thursdays over the school's possible conversion to academy status.
They fear that, as it is a directly-funded and self-governing school, their terms and condition of work could be affected.See the full content of this document
