DERBY County have beaten off competition from a number of Championship rivals to sign centre-half Russell Anderson (right) on a two-year deal. The Scottish international joined the Rams in January and his short-term contract was due to expire at the end of the season. He has started the last eight games alongside Shaun Barker at the heart of the defence and has been on the losing side only once.
